What will I be doing?
· Guiding blind and partially sighted participants around the venue, helping them to find seating and providing directions
· Assisting participants into cars and taxis and, at times, meeting attendees at the railway station or accompanying them there
· Registering attendees
· Giving guide dogs walks while participants are in forum sessions
· Assisting with providing lunch and refreshments - your tea-making skills: a definite bonus!
· Possibly Handling the roving microphone in some sessions; note-taking in others
Anticipating and providing general assistance to participants, as needed

What support will I be given?
· Induction
· Understanding Sight Loss Pack
· Expenses – all out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed including expenses to attend training
· Supervision and support from your volunteer manager/ co-ordinator
· Event induction on the day, including a full briefing, a working agenda for the day and a tour of the venue
