Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing care, totally free, to terminally ill patients, at home
Role summary; To co-ordinate the distribution and return of collection boxes and the banking and receipting of all monies from them
Suggested involvement: Dependant on the number of boxes co-ordinated and geographical area covered, but each box should be collected once every two months
Main Tasks:
1. Identify potential sites for the display of Marie Curie collection boxes
2. Negotiate approval for the placement of collection boxes
3. Maintain on-going relationship with display site promoting the work of Marie Curie
4. Co-ordinate the regular collection of boxes
5. Count, bank and receipt all monies, following guidance laid down in MCCC financial procedure
6. Ensure all boxes are correctly labelled sealed and secured as necessary
7. collate and regularly update a list of all sites with appropriate contact details
8. Monitor collection figures from sites
9. Supply publicity information and posters for display at sites as appropriate
10. Maintain contact with the local Publicity Distribution Co-ordinator with regards the use of existing and new sites
