Carmarthen Carriage Drivers- Disabled Driver Helpers 378~27
Carriage driving has been an important part of RDA since 1975 and there are now almost 100 groups involved giving opportunities to over 1000 drivers. RDA Carriage Driving is open to all members of RDA and is particularly useful for people who can no longer ride due to disability or prefer a different kind of challenge. Carriage Driving offers many of the same benefits as riding: Improved co-ordination; Improved muscle power Improved balance; Relaxation through rhythmic movement Being out in the open air Some of the non physical benefits include: Decision making Making friends Achievement Self confidence Having fun! A lot of these benefits can be enhanced by the driver attending on of our many holidays. Drivers progress in the same way as riders. Drivers can take proficiency tests to increase and demonstrate their ability and knowledge. They can compete in RDA and British Driving Society (BDS) Shows that have disabled classes. Some drivers progress outside of RDA and attend training days and compete internationally. Carriage driving uses trained, non-disabled volunteers, who sit alongside the driver to teach skills and help if required. The Cinnamon Trust is The National Charity for the elderly and their pets and we desperately need new volunteers. We seek to keep owner and pet together for as long as possible with the help of a national network of volunteers who assist with any aspect of day to day care of pets.

DRIVING - Collection of Dogs from Council Pounds and delivery to Rescue Centres throughout the U
They are an animal rescue organisation and try to help any animal in need. This includes birds, rabbits & reptiles. All animals are moved to a specialist rescue centre & fostered to pre-approved fosters in their own homes. Collect stray dogs from dog pounds when they have completed their statutory time of 7 - 9 days. They serve Ceredigion, Carmarthen, Bridgend, Rhondda Cynon Taff, Blaenau Gwent, Blaenavon and Newport Councils. They then take the dogs to reputable Rescue Centres throughout the UK. They also provide foster care for animals whilst owners are ill etc & will try to help.

Lluest Horse and Pony Trust 298~27
Lluest is a rescue for equines - rescue from cruelty, neglet or poor circumstances. They place suitable equines in approved loan homes. They are about to start a small education programme for young children in the care of equines.
