Help to promote international understanding

UNA Exchange is a small Welsh charity that, through a programme of short-term volunteering projects, European Voluntary Service and a developing global education programme aims to
promote international understanding and cultural exchange
.  encourage voluntary service as a means to encourage peace, equality and democracy
.  support community development and bring an intercultural dimension to community projects
offer people in Wales direct contact with people from other countries as a way to
    understand international issues

UNA Exchange has been sending volunteers overseas and hosting volunteers from other countries since 1973. We are currently growing rapidly as the demand for international volunteering increases, however we are also faced with more competition from commercial organisations. We have a very active volunteer base and a young, enthusiastic Executive Committee but are seeking more professional skills to enhance our organisation.

We are seeking new trustees with experience and professional skills including :
 Finance skills
 Management skills
Knowledge of the voluntary sector in the UK and/or Wales

A trustee would be required to commit to 6 meetings a year. These are normally creative full-day meetings that take place in Cardiff on Saturdays. Some time is also required between meetings, the amount of this depending on the role that a trustee took on within the board and the sub-groups that he/she could commit to.
