This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wishing to gain experience in the charity sector and offers a chance to develop knowledge of how a fundraising team works, whilst learning important fundraising and marketing skills. Victim Support's strive for a safer and just society in which we all work to reduce the effects of crime and harmful behaviour. We will promote the interests of and provide services to support victims and witnesses through our volunteers and staff, through partnership and referral to relevant help and information. We will ensure consistent standards and value diveristy and will be recognised as the national leader in our field. Victim Support has been through a period of huge change over the last two years with the merger into a single charity, the introduction of improved services to victims in the community and the rollout of new management systems. We are about to embark on one of our most exciting periods in our history. We have just launched our new National fundraising startegy and we now need more fundraising volunteers and Interns to assist the implementation of the Regional Strategy across Wales. Our supporters have a uniquely close relationship and affinity with the cause. Your role will be part of the Regional Fundraising Team-Wales, and is responsible for a variety of income streams.

Description of volunteering duties:

• Your three month role will involve supporting the Rgeional Fundraising team in a number of key activities with Volunteers and Regional Groups. You will play an important part in helping to maintain our relationships with these key supporters and maximising our income from these fundraising streams.
• Main responsibilities: Maximise income from existing volunteers by developing initiatives and events for them to take part in
• Communicate with key supporters by sending out regular mailings and updates
• Work with other members of the team to recruit volunteers for events when required
• Represent Victim Support and functions and events
• Assist in the development of all existing relationships, including the building of relationships and distribution of fundraising materials.
• Assist the Regional Fundraising Manager in the organisation of student fundraising events.
