Despite advances in the fight against heart disease, many as a result of the work of BHF Cymru, there is still much more to be done. Everyday our volunteers are helping to raise vital funds and awareness within local communities across Wales. BHF Cymru volunteers are involved in many ways including fundraising within schools, organising events, collecting, and helping us raise awareness by speaking to groups and supporters. Quite simply without volunteers like you we will not be able to continue our pioneering work – saving and improving lives.
This role is vital to ensuring the smooth running and effective operation of a BHF Cymru fundraising branch. There are fundraising branches across Wales, and they are a valued part of the charity’s volunteer network. Specific responsibilities of this role will include:
· Chair meetings of the branch including the Annual General Meeting, ensuring agenda items are discussed and decisions made.
· Co-ordinate the branch committee, building strong relationships with officers including the Treasurer and Secretary
· Be a key local face of the charity, representing your branch and BHF Cymru at events and functions
· Motivate, encourage and unite the branch to participate in campaigns and raise funds for BHF
· Ensure branch activities comply with relevant law and BHF policy.
