Lleoliad: A volunteer is needed to support the South West Wales Branch. The role is home based with attendance at meetings and events in south west Wales
Visitors act as the main contact for people living with MND( this includes the person with MND, their family and carer) on behalf of the association. They keep in regular contact offering confidential emotinoal support, and accurate information to enable people with MND to make informed choices.

On completion of your training course and registration you would be expected to take on the following:

- Make and maintain contact regulary by phone, email or face to face visits with people living with Motor Neuron Disease

-Explain the support and services the association can offer.

- Explain the benifits of becoming a member.

-Discuss their needs and wishes regarding support from the association.

-Enable them to identify problems as they arise and explore how these might be managed, outlining the sorts of options available and how to access these

-Develop and maintain realationships with your local branch or group.

-Advocate on behalf of people with living with MND.

-Make accurate and relevant records in accordance with the MND associations guidelines and local protocols.

- Attend support and supervision meetings and other development events.
