The key aim of our website and communications volunteer opportunity is to develop, deliver and maintain our Stonewall Cymru website. The website is a crucial resource for the work that Stonewall Cymru does and allows groups, organisations and lesbian, gay and bisexual individuals to keep updated on the progress and campaigns that Stonewall Cymru are undertaking throughout Wales, in addition to accessing information on a wide range of topics of relevance to LGB people and on external consultations and groups throughout Wales.

Description of volunteering duties:

  • Initially to update the website bilingually, simultaneously with information provided by staff members.
  • To develop and deliver our website updates and public communication strategy.
  • To identify, research and write, as well as initiating updates for the website.
  • Ensure updates are delivered bilingually. A translation service is provided, so the ability to speak Welsh is NOT essential to this role.
  • Potential to get involved with the e-bulletin and annual newsletter as confidence grows.
