Denbighshire Learning Disability Forum to secure access to health, education, social services, housing, employment and leisure for people with a Learning Disability. To develop soical inclusion and integration into society.

Forum has a membership of 330 inclusive of parents and carers and operates throughout Denbighshire. It works with statutory bodies, health, social services, education and police to ensure equality of access to services and prevention of discrimination. Forum provides members on various  committees involved with Learning Disabiliities at both local and national level. Leisure has been identified as an essential activity to improve the health and wellbeing and social integration. The development of a cycling scheme is an activity which will meet this aspect of need. Forum in partnership with other voluntary organisations is developing a wide range of leisure activities.  Volunteer duties: To open the site building, oversee the issue and return of cycles. Undertake safety/maintenance of cycles, give instruction on use of cycles. Report defects to the co-ordinator, maintain the cleanliness of the cycles and building.
