To provide effective administrative support to the Community Safety Team and Engage with the Vunerable / Older Persons section of the communit, providing Target Hardening equipment and Home Safety Advice.

Likely Volunteers duties:

  • Maintenance of databases and spreadsheets, producing management information as required.
  • Liaise closely with Line Mangers regarding responsibilities at each tour of duty.
  • Manage the booking system/diary of daily dwellings to be visited and update Line Manager of results.
  • Sorting/distribution of correspondence regarding premises visited, Equipment provided, Requests made, Referrals made to other agencies and general clerical duties including photocopying/filing.
  • Effectively manage an appointments procedure using a designated telephone point and report any issues to line manager ASAP.
  • Work in partnership with the Safe as Houses Handy Person when visiting premises, conducting a Home Safety Assessment, completing relevant forms/documentation and providing the relevant equipment as required.
  • Make referrals to partner organisations when required after the home visit and keep a record of such referrals.
  • Assist the ‘Handy Person’ Joiner in maintaining the records of all Target Hardening Equipment removed from the Store and the re-ordering of stock/leaflets/brochures as directed by Line Manager.
  • Provide reassurance and relevant advice to the household where appropriate regarding the Home Safety Risk Assessment and crime reduction.
  • To promote and comply with North Wales Police policies on equal opportunities and health and safety both in the delivery of service and the treatment of others.
  • To be responsible for improving your performance by participating in an annual review if desirable.
  • To carry out any other duties which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the post.

Full training will be given.
