Volunteers transport individuals affected by HIV or other sexually transmitted infections to their appointments.
They provide the transport in their own vehicles and mileage is reimbursed by the charity.
Volunteers need good communication skills; calmness and empathy; punctuality and reliability; the ability to deal with the public and to provide excellent customer service to clients who may be anxious and distressed
An understanding of HIV and the issues that relate to the infection; ability to work with challenging and sensitive issues and a commitment to maintain confidentiality.
