Age Concern Swansea currently has the following volunteering opportunity: Supporting people Project - Face to Face Visiting: Have Excellent listening skills Be able to instigate and sustain a conversation Be empathetic and patient Be non-judgemental Be reliable and dependable Have enhanced CRB Check Carry Organisational/Personal Id card Be provided with client details and current Risk Assessment Have signed client agreement and support plan Make arrangements with client for weekly visits Agree to spending between 1-2 hours with client Inform Project Manager ASAP of any changes or concerns they have regarding clients’ wellbeing Complete monthly paperwork and return to project Inform Project Manager of annual leave/sickness in order that cover can be arranged Be aware that the project carries out monitoring reviews of support Be aware that office contact will be made with them by admin assistants on a monthly basis Volunteers should be 18+
