Deafblind Cymru is a charity that supports indviduals who have a combined sight and hearing difficulty. Without appriopriate support, for someone who has lost or is losing their sight and hearing the World can be a lonely, confusing and potentially dangerous place. Volunteers are invaluable to our work.
1) To provide transport for deafblind people to and from venues of their choice,
2) To ensure the deafblind person is safely guided from their home to to your vehicle,
3) To ensure the deafblind person is safely supported to enter your vehicle and that the seatbelts are used to ensure safety,
4) To provide updates on the journey progress to deafblind passengers regularly,
5) To ensure the deafblind person is safely guided into and from the venue of their choice,
6) To provide a regular commitment of time and provide as much notice of any absence as possible
7) To provide regular updates of your volunteering activity to your supervisor
