Deafblind Cymru is a charity that supports indviduals who have a combined sight and hearing difficulty. Without appriopriate support, for someone who has lost or is losing their sight and hearing the World can be a lonely, confusing and potentially dangerous place. Volunteers are invaluable to our work.
- To support members of the deafblind group to engage in the activities of that group
- To provide communication and guiding support as needed to enable all deafblind members to be fully involved in the group’s activities
- To support the development of new activities within the group
- To promote involvement in presentations, and other activities offered to the group from various organisations
- Where appropriate to assist with the preparation and distribution of refreshemnts within the group
- Where appropriate to use your personal vehicle to transport deafblind people to thier deafblind group, whilst adhering to the guidelines on driving in Deafblind UK's Volunteer Handbook.
- To provide regular updates of your volunteering activity to your supervisor
