ASH Wales was established in 1976 and is the leading voluntary organisation in Wales tackling tobacco use. Our main aim is to achieve a reduction in and eventual elimination of the health problems associated with tobacco use.
ASH Wales currently has the following volunteering opportunity:
Peer Health Promoter Project
The Peer Health Promoter project is a volunteering opportunity with us at ASH Wales and will train young people aged 16-25 to work with other young people between 11 and 18 in their local communities.
The aim will be to deliver and provide informed and accurate information about smoking prevention and cessation through training, workshops and assemblies and at events.
All Peer Health Promoters will receive training in the tested 2Tuff2Puff programme. The volunteering opportunity is recognised through the Millennium Volunteers scheme of which we are delivery partners
Volunteers must be aged between 16 - 25 years. Training provded.
