To provide transport for deafblind people to and from venues of their choice To ensure the deafblind person is safely guided from their home to your vehicle To ensure the deafblind person is safely supported to enter your vehicle and that seatbelts are used to ensure safety To provide updates on the journey progress to deafblind passengers regularly and safely, except where individuals use non-verbal forms of communication To ensure the deafblind person is safely guided into and from the venue of their choice To provide a regular commitment of time and provide as much notice of any absence as possible To provide regular updates of your volunteering activity to your supervisor

Volunteers aged 18+ needed by THT, ‘the leading HIV and sexual health charity’.

Volunteers needed to organise/co-ordinate a wide range of awareness-raising and fund-raising events. Tasks could include: targeting local events which may provide information or fundraising opportunities, developing new ideas for events, taking a PR role in encouraging THT volunteers, members and friends to support events or applying for funding (with staff guidance). Volunteers should have good communication, organisational and social skills. This is very much a ‘hands on’ role.

Training and support given.
