The organisation is the UK's leading sustainable transport charity, working on practical projects so that people choose to travel in ways that benefit their health and the environment.

The role includes:

• Research planning procedures of Local Authorities.
• Monitor planning progress of LAs adn respond to planning consultations.
• Keep the organisation's staff informed about planning proposals and consultations.
• Office Based - Correspond with and possible coordination of a team of planning and policy volunteers, setting up a system whereby each local authority has a local volunteer contact.
• Research and disseminate any recent local or national policies that may be relevant or useful for the work of the organisations projects.
