Whether you want to learn a new skill, make new friends in yoru area, get valuable work experience or put your existing experience to good use, we can help you achieve this as a BHF Volunteer in one or more of the following ways:

  • Attend cheque presentations and give brief thank-you talks in the local community.
  • Organise fundraising events in your local area such as a coffee morning, sponsored event, wear red day and many more!
  • Take part or assist in the charity's events such as jogs and challenge events.
  • Start a Gift of Hope Fund in memory of a loved one and raise money as a tribute to that person.
  • Take part in street, house to house or store collections.
  • Volunteer in the local charity shop.
  • Join or start a local fundraising group.
  • Plan and promote a local sponsored walk to members of your community.
  • Contact local businesses to display a collection box and empty the boxes once full.
  • Inspire others to support the work of the organisation by giving talks in your local area.
  • Build relationships with volunteer centres, the media and within the local community to recruit volunteers to support the organisation.
  • Assist during campaigns by placing boxes of emblems in the community.
  • Contact local groups and organisations to display the charity's literature such as leaflets and posters.
  •  Represent the organisation in local schools, colleges and universities, for example, speaking at assemblies and attending fundraising events.
  • Provide administrative support from your home.
  • Support local fundraisers in promoting and organising their event.
  • Collect in-memorium donations and visit Funeral Directors in your local area.
  • Network in ethnic communities.
  • Promote the work of the organisation through your workplace.
