MDF The Bipolar Organisation Cymru works to develop partnerships with other organisations concerned with mental health to represent the needs of all those affected by Bipolar Disorder (Manic Depression) and to challenge the stigma of any serious mental health problem. The Organisation is a user-led mental health charity for people affected by Bipolar Disorder and their family/carers. Supporting and developing self help opportunities for people affected by Bi-Polar disorder. Expanding and developing the information services about bi-polar disorder. Influencing the improvement of treatment and services to promote recovery. Decreasing the discrimination against and promoting the social inclusion and rights of people affected by bi-polar disorder.

The Bipolar Organisation are looking for volunteers to

Visit Psychiatric hospitals in South, East and West Wales to talk to, give information to and share experience with the people who have been diagnosed with Bipolar disorder. They will then give these peoples names to the link workers who will then support them in the community and introduce them to local support groups once discharged. The volunteer will themselves have been diagnosed with the Bi Polar Disorder.

This role is only suitable for volunteers over 18
